Couples and Relationship Therapy for Relationships out of the Box

Relationships can be complicated—especially when you’re creating something that doesn’t fit a traditional mold. I work with couples and partners who want more than simply learning how to communicate better. Together, we explore the patterns beneath conflict, deepen emotional safety and connection, and create relationships that feel more authentic, intimate, and sustainable.

I Work with Couples and Partners Across a Wide Range of Identities, Relationship Structures, and Life Experiences. You Don’t Have to Fit in a Traditional Definition of what a Relationship “Should” Look Like to Feel at Home in Therapy.

What We Can Work On Together

Couples often come to therapy when they feel stuck in patterns they can’t seem to change on their own. We’ll slow things down, get curious about what’s happening beneath the surface, and create space for both partners to feel heard and understood.

Conflict & Communication

Understand the Cycle You Keep Getting Caught In and Develop New Ways of Responding to One Another

Intimacy & Sexuality

Create Space for Honest Conversations About Desire, Intimacy, Boundaries, Sexuality, and What Each Partner Needs

Emotional Safety & Connection

Build Greater Understanding, Trust, Vulnerability, and Emotional Connection

Relationship Transitions

Navigate Changes Such as Opening a Relationship, Separation, Reconciliation, Infidelity, Family Changes, or Redefining Your Relationship

A Different Approach to Relationship Therapy

I believe meaningful change happens when we understand the parts of ourselves—and our partners—that are trying to protect us. My approach draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), trauma-informed therapy, Gottman-informed relationship work, Imago, mindfulness, and other approaches that help couples slow down, become curious about their patterns, and create new possibilities together

Curiosity Instead of Blame

Rather than deciding who is right or wrong, we work together to understand what is happening underneath the conflict. When both partners can feel seen and understood, new choices become possible

Your Relationship Doesn’t Look Like Everyone Else’s

I welcome relationships that don’t fit traditional expectations, including LGBTQIA+ relationships, ethical non-monogamy and polyamory, kink and sex-positive relationships, and couples who are creating their own definition of partnership

More Time for What Matters

Relationships rarely fit neatly into a 50-minute hour. My couples sessions are designed to give you the time and space to slow down, get beneath the surface, and work with what’s really happening between you

Space for Partners

My role isn’t to take sides. I help create a space where each partner can understand themselves, understand the other person, and become curious about the relationship dynamic you’re creating together

90-Minute Relationship Sessions

Longer sessions allow us to move beyond simply identifying the problem. We can slow down conflict, explore the emotions and patterns underneath it, practice new ways of relating, and make meaningful progress without feeling rushed

Initial Relationship Intake $250 90-Minute Sessions $200

Ready to Get Started?

Starting relationship therapy can feel vulnerable. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you reach out. A consultation gives us an opportunity to talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping will change, and whether we’re a good fit to work together

  1. Schedule a Consultation. Choose a time that works for you using my online calendar

  2. Tell Me What’s Going On. We’ll talk about your relationship, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you’d like help with

  3. Decide What’s Next. If we are a good fit, we’ll determine the best way to move forward together

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone

If you’re feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure what comes next, you’re not alone. Relationships can be challenging—and asking for help doesn’t mean your relationship is failing. It means you’re willing to care for it.

I offer a warm, affirming, and unconventional approach to relationship therapy for people who want to understand themselves and each other more deeply.
